These terms apply when you use Rooted, at rootedhabits.app or as an installed app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Rooted.
Rooted is not medical advice
Rooted is for education and encouragement. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app, the guides or the AI coach is medical, nutritional, psychological or medication advice. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, activity or medication, and if you have or think you may have an eating disorder.
Rooted is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (US and Canada) or your local emergency number right away.
The AI coach
The coach is an AI. Its replies are generated automatically, can be wrong or unsuitable, and are not reviewed by a person before you see them. Use your own judgement, and do not rely on the coach for decisions about your health. The number of coach messages per day is limited, and the models on offer may change.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Rooted.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Please do not misuse Rooted, for example by trying to break or overload it, getting around usage limits, accessing other people’s data, or using the coach to produce harmful content.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Your content
What you write in Rooted stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in our privacy policy.
The service
Rooted is an early preview and is currently free. We are still building it, so features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you before anything is charged, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
No warranty and limits of liability
Rooted is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on the app or the AI coach. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Rooted after a change means you accept the new terms.
